St. David's Quilt and Hooked Rug Sale – Aug 18-19- The St. David's Quilters and Rug Hookers of Northern Nova Scotia will be hosting a sale of quilts, hooked rugs and smaller hooked and sewn items on Friday Aug. 18th from 9 - 5 and Saturday August 19th from 9 – 4 at St. David's United Church; located on the corner of Pictou Rd. and St. David's Ave. in Bible Hill. Admission $5 includes refreshments in the wild blueberry tearoom.
Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition – Aug 23-27 - A showcase of agricultural shows and exhibits, demolition derby competitions, a large midway, live musical entertainment and vendors from all over the province; an exciting and fun family event! Glooscap Country Bazaar - Aug 18 - Sept 2 - Stop at the Glooscap Country Bazaar in Central Economy throughout the festival and enjoy all our blueberry jams, jellies, cakes, pies, and crafts. Contact 647-2920 for more information.
Wild Blueberry Dessert and Coffee House – Aug 27 – Enjoy local entertainment, tea, coffee and blueberry desserts starting at 7:30 pm at the Economy Recreation Centre. Price: $6.00. Hosted by the Board of Stewards, Economy United Church.
Annual Ham and Salad Supper – Aug 19 - Featuring a wide array of wild blueberry desserts! From 4:00pm to 6:00 pm at the Peniel United Church. $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for ages 5 to 12 years.
Five Islands Bazaar - Aug 18 - Sept 2 - Stop at Five Islands Bazaar throughout the festival and check out our assortment of Wild Blueberry jams, baked goods, and variety of crafts and quilts. 10 am – 6 pm. Call 254-5610 for more information.
Annual Kempt Shore Music Gala Campout and Dance – Aug 18&19 - A two day fun family music event featuring theme dance bands, open mics, jamming and camping and of course…wild blueberries. Visit kemptshorefestivals.com for details.

All Things Wild Blueberry at the Market – Aug 18-Sept 2 - Masstown Market will be wild blueberry central all festival long with Market-made wild blueberry baked goods filling the shelves, fresh berries from Millen's Farms and plenty of jams, jellies, and even wild blueberry wine!
Community Supper at The Peg – Aug 23 - Community Supper at The Peg from 5-7 hosted by Masstown Market. Corn on the cob followed by a wild blueberry dessert. Admission is free!
Wild Blueberry Kitchen Party – Aug 24 & Aug 31 - Pick up a wild blueberry treat at Masstown Market and head over to the onsite lighthouse for an evening of live music from 6pm-8pm.
Wild Blueberry "Cruise In" – Aug 25 & Sept 1 - Enjoy wild blueberry ice cream while checking out the fancy display of antique cars. This might be a great time to try one of our delicious sundaes made with fresh wild blueberries!
Harvest 4 Hunger Picnic & Worship Service – Aug 27 - Worship service at 11am. Picnic noon-2pm featuring Local Corn on the Cob and Wild Blueberry Shortcake. Fundraiser for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, Ending Global Hunger.
Cumberland County Exhibition – Aug 29-Sept 2 – You can guarantee to find some wild blueberry festivities during the Ex in the wild blueberry capital of Canada! Enjoy an assortment of Wild Blueberry Desserts in the dining hall.
Wild Blueberry Amazing Race – Aug 21: Come out and get active with the Wild Blueberry Amazing Race. Help kick off a week of wild blueberry events in Oxford at 11:00am at the Oxford Lions Park. For more information call Corey Skinner at 447-2798.

Wild Blueberry Bliss – Aug 19 - Keep your cool and let us cook for you! Join us for supper at our 130 year old River Philip Hall from 4pm-6pm. Your choice of: pulled pork or chili, baked beans, corn bread/rolls, tea/coffee, wild blueberry dessert. Cost: $10/adult; $5/children 12 and under; free for preschoolers. Wild Blueberries at the NS Gem and Mineral Show – Aug 18-20 - Wild Blueberry dessert will be served daily at 2pm in the Lions Arena (2163 Western Avenue). Extra fees apply.
Wild Blueberry Dinner – Aug 19 - Dinner in honour of Prospectors Street Party at St. Brigid's Church on Main Street from 3:30 to 5PM. Menu includes Baked Ham with Potato Salad, Home Made Beans and Rolls. We will top the meal off with our favourite Wild Blueberry Desserts that are enjoyed in our area.

Wild Blueberry Day at the Pugwash Farmers Market – Aug 19 – The Pugwash Market will be celebrating the 13th annual Wild Blueberry Festival with the Great Blueberry Bake Off Contest, Live Music, A Market Goodies Gift Basket Raffle and kids activities.
Special Wild Blueberry Harvest Celebration – Aug 20 - Come and join us at the Spencer Island Farmers’ Market as we celebrate this harvest. We will have fresh locally picked blueberries, yummy blueberry pies and baking, wild blueberry blossom honey, blueberry syrup, homemade blueberry wine jellies and blueberry jams, blueberry designed handcrafted sewing, knitting, blueberry scenery handcrafted greeting cards, handcrafted personalized blueberry designs on glass ware, t-shirts, socks, handmade blueberry designed jewelry and lots more!
Wild Blueberry Tea and Bake Sale – Aug 20 – Delicious, homemade blueberry desserts, tea, coffee and juice. Cost $5.00 for adults, children $3.00. There will also be a bake table. Please come and join us from 11am until 2pm at the Fraser Cultural Centre on Main St.
Concert Night at the Balmoral Kirk – Aug 25 - Concert featuring Tomato Tomato
WILD BLUEBERRY JAM – Kick-off to the Festival – Aug 18 – It’s the official kick-off to the festival featuring musical performance by Charlie A’Court! Come out from 6pm-9pm to the kick-off’s NEW location at Truro’s Civic Square for wild blueberry treats, free concert, children’s entertainment, and hugely popular celebrity pie eating contest and learn about all the great wild blueberry events happening throughout the festival!
Wild Blueberry Pancake Breakfast – Aug 19 - Head to 883 Prince St where the Slate Youth Centre will be serving up pancakes with blueberry sauce, sausages, beans, and a beverage from 8am to 10:30am.
The Market has the Blues – Aug 19 & 26 - The Truro Farmers' Market will celebrate all things blueberry with blueberry themed baking, crafts, sauces, fresh and frozen berries and even blueberry liqueur! Join us from 8 am until 1 pm for music, food and fun!
Wild Bluebrrrrry Skate – Aug 20 - Free community skate on ice at the RECC from 2-4pm.
CCW Wild Blueberry Pancake Breakfast – Aug 23 - Wild blueberry pancakes, sausages, coffee or tea just $5! From 8am-10am.
Blueberry Festival at Parkland Truro – Aug 16 – Enjoy an afternoon of fun featuring music, blueberry treats and activities at Parkland Truro (356 Young Street) from 1:30pm-3:30pm. Tickets for sale for a chance to win a basket full of wild blueberry products!
Wild Blueberry Sample Fest at Sobeys on Robie - Aug 18 - From 11am-3pm Sobeys on Robie Street will be showcasing and sampling a large variety of store made baked blueberry goods!
“Her”itage Day Wild Blueberry Tea – Aug 19 - We are celebrating Canada 150 with an all-inclusive, culturally diverse "Her"itage Day to inspire young women as well as recognize the strength and capacity of historical female figures in Canadian and local history. We encourage everyone to join us as we promote our local heritage, celebrate inspiring women and work towards creating a vibrant community through engaging, exciting and entertaining events. The CNWRC and Colchester Historeum "Her"itage Day offers everyone the opportunity to step back in time as we offer free entrance into the Colchester Historeum, historical games and crafts, "her"itage displays, interactive presentations, and an afternoon tea with wild blueberry desserts with special guest speakers.

“Wild” Blueberry Dance Celebration – Aug 26 - The Salvation Army will be having a Wild Blueberry Dance Celebration on August 26 (Saturday) from 8pm - 10 pm. Music will be DJ style (oldies but goodies). We will be having some Blueberry treats to share that evening. We also have our own mascot Sally Ann who will be outside our door with some sample berry treats. Admission to the dance will be a non-perishable donated food item to assist with our weekly food assistance program for those in need.
Blueberry Tea – Sept 2 - Tea with sandwiches and blueberry dessert from 2-4pm at Wallace Masonic Hall. Sponsored by Cedar Atlantic #3, Order of Eastern Star, Wallace, NS
2nd Annual Wentworth Show & Shine and Flea Market – Aug 20 – Head to the Wentworth Recreation Centre (13371 Highway 4) to the car show, flea market, quilt show & sale, Taco Stiles food truck, a slip n' slide, and a BLUEBERRY CAFE serving all-day breakfast! Raffle prizes will be drawn throughout the day
Wild Blueberry Social – Aug 26 – Head out to the Westchester Fire Hall (Exit 8 off Hwy 104 to 123 Valley Road) for fabulous desserts for $5 including Tea and Coffee, musical entertainment, Chinese auction, and Thompson’s wild blueberry products for sale. Starts at 2pm. Admission $3 includes entry for prize draw. In support of the Westchester Baptist Church Ladies Auxiliary.
